August 10: The Art at Home event

The St Charles Arts Council is presenting an “Art At Home” Event on Friday, August 10.  Attendees will enjoy a patio poolside barbecue, the Andy Schlinder/Kevin Brown Duo, and the work of visual artists Guy J. Bellaver, Kathleen Cofoid, Doug Eageny, Claudia Frost, Michele Norman, and Carol Zack.

 

St. Charles, Illinois, July 31, 2012 – Beautiful music and visual art on a beautiful summer evening in St. Charles.  The St Charles Arts Council is presenting an “Art At Home” Event on Friday, August 10, in the home of Larry and Louise Ost, St Charles, Illinois.  This “At Home” will feature a patio poolside barbecue reception, visual art from six local artists, and music from Mosaik.

 

In addition to the music provided by the very talented Andy Schlinder/Kevin Brown Jazz Duo – Mosaik (Schlinder is a graduate of St. Charles East High School) local visual artists’ work will be displayed both inside and outside the Ost’s home.  Artists participating in the “At Home” include Guy J. Bellaver, Kathleen Cofoid, Doug Eageny, Claudia Frost, Michele Norman, and Carol Zack.

 

The “Art At Home” Program is an initiative of the St Charles Arts Council intended to provide tangible support for artists, giving them opportunities to showcase and be compensated for their talent.  These events can include the work of performing artists, visual artists, culinary artists, etc.  The Arts Council encourages people to open up their homes to support the arts, and encourages artists to contact the SCAC to learn about showcase opportunities.  Contact the council at 630.443.3794 or StCharlesArtsCouncil@gmail.com.
